Turn Your Kiosk Visitors into an "Internet VIP" (Internet Video Image Production)

What is Internet VIP? Internet VIP is a kiosk application add-on that captures photos, voice, and/or video. If the target capture is a single frame, you can post-process the image, including: Image Merging Merge the captured image with another image. This "other" image may be a background image used to create, for example, a postcard, or a foreground image mask used to overlay a custom border or frame. Postcard Creation If you choose to merge the image with another background image, you can then display this image via Kiosk-in-a-Box and allow users to print out the image. Web Page Creation Regardless of the final output, you may set it up to instantly create a personalized web page based of any number of web page templates you design yourself. You may then opt to display this page and/or automatically post this page to a target server - your choice. Photo Sticker Creation If you design your web page output in an appropriate format, you can create "photo sticker" printout pages with a variety of image sizes! Photo E-Mail Regardless of the final output, you may also allow users to send their captured image to family and friends via E-Mail.

How It Works Internet VIP works seamlessly with Kiosk-in-a-Box, and it's FREE!. The basic operation is as follows: Kiosk-in-a-Box runs the Internet VIP executable A seamless transition to IVIP transpires If you are {optionally} capturing voice The voice count-down begins (you set the time) IVIP captures the voice (you set the time) The image count-down begins (you set the time) IVIP captures the single frame or video stream (you set the time) IVIP post-processes the capture (merge and/or web page) IVIP performs a seamless transition back to Kiosk-in-a-Box Kiosk-in-a-Box then displays the capture and/or web page, and also provides all the "normal" features: E-Mail, web page printout, automatic FTP to your server - whatever! No special coding. No need to design a hardware interface.

Required / Supported Hardware Internet VIP is software only - you still need to acquire some hardware to get the job done. This additional hardware includes a video camera and a video capture card or video capturing interface. There are dozens of these products on the market. Some companies just sell cards (like the Intel Smart Video Recorder), while other companies don't require a card (like Alaris). The hardware is completely up to you, but it should be able to perform video capture without Internet VIP Watch out, tho! If you are considering offering users the opportunity to print out their image and/or web page, make sure the device you select doesn't "gobble up" a necessary printer or comm port.

Design It Any Way You Want If you've obtained Kiosk-in-a-Box (v 3.2 or above), Internet VIP comes already included. And just like Kiosk-in-a-Box, Internet VIP is completely customizable by you. You can create your own look and feel with this add-on, and it's so easy! Just create a few custom graphics and you're ready to roll! You can define your own full-screen background graphics, the location of the capture window, the size of the capture window, and also design, size and locate the count-down objects. When the program is exeucted, it performs a seamless "cool screen transition" from your current kiosk screen to the Internet VIP application. Once an image is captured, you can post-process the image and create photo postcards, photo E-Mail, and/or web pages. The web pages can be created from HTML templates providing you with an unlimited variety of creative outputs, including the possibility of creating multi-image printouts for photo stickers and other fun stuff! After the image and/or voice collection process, another seamless "cool screen transition" is performed back to your Kiosk-in-a-Box application.
